The Aim of the Alliance
The Deception Bay Child and Family Alliance will strengthen the ability of agencies, groups and residents to build community capacity and resources for improving outcomes for young families.
Who is Involved?
The Alliance is made up of any individual or agency who chooses to be involved by participating in monthly meetings, workshops, forums and training events. Those involved include staff, management committee members and volunteers from community organisations, government, church representatives and residents of Deception Bay.
How does it Work?
The Alliance is managed by a small team of staff to provide effective coordination of information, build collaborative action and patnerships, and provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance the sevices for families and children in Deception Bay.
Next Meeting 21st September 2010
Meetings are normally held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 1.00 - 3.00pm at the Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre. Afternoon Tea is provided as an opportunity for participants to meet and network. For more information please contact alison@dbayfamilies.org
